In Memory of DC
Our beloved clinic cat, Dc, lost a three year fight with heart disease December 7th, 2010.
Dc had spent his whole 16 years of life with Us, here at Anderson Lakes Animal Hospital. He was found out back near the dumpsters (hence the name "Dumpster Cat"). Dc had been a constant source of laughs. Getting into trouble was his main objective in life, besides napping.
He enjoyed the finer things in life, such as Styrofoam (of any size or shape), bags/boxes/packaging material (of any size or shape), swimming in various water dishes, yelling for a sip at the water fountain, and asking for a zoom groom session and filling our hearts with a warmth that was unmatchable.
We will forever miss our great friend and partner in crime. You can still visit Dc's Facebook page to share your memories/pictures.
A Poem for our little buddy...
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
In loving memory of our DC
Who went home
